First Aid at Work Course

This course is ideal for higher or advanced level hazards (e.g: food manufacturers) or where your needs assessment identifies a requirement to provide additional training, covering a broad syllabus including the recognition and treatment of a wider range of conditions.

 

First aid training is not only a legal requirement for employers, it is also a moral responsibility to ensure that anyone affected by your company can be cared for in the event of an emergency.This course is the full 3 day course so participants will be given ample time to practice and learn their First Aid skills. 

 

To qualify for this course you need to have successfully passed the FAW course within 3 years. A certificate will need to be provided on the day as proof of passing the FAW course within the allotted time.

  • Primary Assessment

  • Secondary Assessment

  • CPR

  • Seizures and Epilepsy

  • Choking

  • Asthma

  • Shock and Bleeding

  • Heart Attacks and Angina

  • Stroke

  • Anaphylactic Shock

  • Bone, Joint and Muscle Injuries

  • Chest Injuries

  • Burns and Scalds

  • Sudden Poisoning

  • Diabetes

  • Head Injuries

 

Additional Info

This qualification will be valid for 3 years upon completion of this course. To qualify for this course you need to have successfully passed the FAW course within 3 years. A certificate will need to be provided on the day as proof of passing the FAW course within the allotted time.

 

Candidates must be physically able to carry out the procedures detailed in the course outline and must attend all sessions to be eligible for assessment.
